According to the State Tax Service (STS), from January 1 to June 1, the STS has confiscated goods totaling 8 million 460.1 thousand lei on the basis of 290 protocols for the seizure of goods. During this period, 1 million 448.4 thousand lei (60.4% of total revenues from the sale of confiscated goods) was transferred to the state budget following the sale of industrial goods. Another 952.8 thousand lei (39.6%) was received from the sale of seized foreign currency. As of June 1, 2022, the State Fiscal Service registered confiscated goods worth 19 million 519.2 thousand lei, which is 10.9% more than on January 1, 2022.
