Budget revenues from the payment of income tax by individuals in 2021 amounted to 6.08 billion lei, which is 21.6% more than a year earlier (5 billion lei).
According to the State Tax Service, last year 1.52 million individual taxpayers received an income of 83.3 billion lei. For comparison, in 2020, the income of 1.18 million individuals amounted to 1.18 billion lei. The most significant part of the taxable income of individuals-citizens of the country (about 76%) last year came from salaries - 63.3 billion lei, which is 13.2% more than in 2020. Followed by: income in the form of dividends - 9.4 billion lei (+21.5%), income from property rental/rental - 2.6 billion lei (+19.5%), income of citizens from the supply of agricultural products - 2.3 billion lei (+41.2%), income in the form of capital gains - 2.2 billion lei (+57.6%).
