The International Organization for Migration will support new programs to encourage investment by the Moldovan diaspora in our country's economy
After one year of operating within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), Moldova has seen a noticeable impact on citizens and businesses: transfers in euros have become faster and significantly cheaper, and SEPA has quickly become the primary channel for cross-border payments. The National Bank notes that the new payment infrastructure has already altered established financial flows and strengthened the country's integration with the European market.
Moldova held consultations in the United States on the creation of a financing fund designed to expand local companies' access to private capital and support their growth. During talks with international institutions and representatives of the diaspora, key parameters of the future mechanism were discussed, including preparing companies for investment, managing the fund, and the amount of financing required.
The Moldovan government has approved the launch of a new digital platform for consular services, which is expected to significantly change the way diplomatic missions abroad operate and simplify interactions with citizens. The project provides for online application submission, document verification, and request tracking, as well as a transition to a more automated service model with a separate budget for the system's further development.

After joining SEPA, Moldova has seen a noticeable impact from cheaper and faster transfers in euros: fees have decreased, the number of transactions has increased, and businesses have gained access to payment standards comparable to those in Europe. The National Bank notes that these changes are already having an impact not only on the expenses of citizens and companies, but also on the dynamics of foreign payments and overall economic activity.
