Claudiu Năsui, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, made this statement, noting that our country is embarking on a process of reducing bureaucracy from the bottom up—from small businesses to large companies. "Want to start a business from home and sell online? No problem—you can do it right from your phone. You can get started right away, without approvals, authorizations, or permits. We call this a START enterprise," said Claudiu Năsui. According to him, the authorities do not intend to rewrite all the rules, but are changing the logic behind regulation. "You no longer request permission in advance; instead, you are monitored afterward. As long as you're a small business below the VAT threshold, you can start operating right away. Because when you're a small business, the risks you pose are minimal. The rules remain; they don't disappear. And violations are penalized during inspections," emphasized the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. According to him, the only thing changing is the requirement for prior approval. Only as a business grows do the obligations of large companies come into play—obligations that are easier to bear. But until then, people should be given the opportunity to try their hand at business without additional red tape. "And when we talk about zero red tape, that's exactly what we mean. You don't even need to keep accounting records or file tax returns. Taxes are calculated automatically, without an accountant and without tax returns. It's simple and straightforward. We're following the French model for home-based food businesses. As long as you follow the rules in good faith, you can get started right away. Inspections come afterward, not prior approval. That's why we're implementing European legislation for small-scale home producers," said Claudiu Năsui. According to him, true capitalism is the capital of many—small merchants and producers. "No one knows which idea will work and which won't. That's why people should be allowed to try. The easier it is for them to try, the faster they'll find out if the idea works. If not, they can move on to the next one. But if it does work, society gains a new enterprise that creates value," stated the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. // 26.10.2026 — InfoMarket
