The ceremony took place as part of National Wine Day in Chișinău. The top awards went to: Vasile Nicli from the village of Congaz for his Pinot Gris white wine, Serghei Șpac from the village of Peticeni in the Călărași District for his Feteasca Regală, Valerie Suruceanu from the village of Cojușna for his Niagara/Cuderca white hybrid wine, Temofei Pogor from the village of Văsieni in the Ialoveni District for his Busuioacă rosé wine; Ion Sarandi from the village of Avdarma for his Rară Neagră red wine; Grigorie Sirtmaci from Vulcănești for the red hybrid wine Zaibel, Tudor Șeptelic from Ungheni for the aged red wine Rară Neagră, Iurie Belioglo from the village of Cazaclia for the white fortified wine Muscat Ottonel, and Gheorghe Pojog from the village of Ciuciuleni in the Hîncești District for the red fortified wine Cabernet. More than 500 winemakers from approximately 20 districts across the country participated in the first stage of the competition, held in February–March 2026, and 110 samples advanced to the national stage. The competition included five categories covering wines made from European, hybrid, and local grape varieties, as well as aged and fortified wines.
