Sectors such as energy, industry, financial services, construction, IT, agri-food, automotive, real estate, green energy, infrastructure, tourism and healthcare can attract new investment and strengthen the Republic of Moldova's integration into European value chains. The Moldova Business Week 2026 agenda will put these sectors in the spotlight and present local and international investors with development opportunities in areas with investment potential. The programme includes sector forums, B2B meetings and company visits, connecting investors directly with the economic ecosystems and projects being developed in the country.

The 11th edition of the event will take place from 28 September to 2 October 2026, with sectoral investment profiles representing one of the three strategic pillars of Moldova Business Week 2026.

MIHAI BURUNCIUC, Deputy Director, Investment Attraction and Aftercare, Invest Moldova Agency: "The Republic of Moldova offers investors a portfolio of industries that have already demonstrated their ability to attract capital, create value and connect to international markets. From industry, electronics and IT to energy, agri-food, financial services and real estate. At Moldova Business Week, we want to bring these opportunities closer to investors and, above all, turn interest in the Republic of Moldova into concrete projects, partnerships and investments."

Foreign direct investment makes an important contribution to our country's economy. In 2025, the Republic of Moldova recorded net foreign direct investment inflows of €409 million, while the total stock of foreign direct investment accumulated in the economy reached €5.37 billion, according to data from the National Bank of Moldova. A relevant indicator of the confidence of investors already present in the country is the fact that more than 65% of gross investment flows are reinvested. Today, more than 3,800 international companies are active in the Republic of Moldova, strengthening the foreign investor base and facilitating the integration of local companies into international production and services value chains.

In 2025, the Invest Moldova Agency team facilitated 17 investment projects, with a total value of more than €40 million, creating 263 new jobs in areas such as energy, IT and business process outsourcing (BPO), financial services, automotive and electronics, agri-food, utilities and textiles. The investments came from countries including Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, China, Estonia, Canada, Romania and the Czech Republic.

This momentum continued in 2026. In the first quarter alone, the Invest Moldova Agency facilitated another 8 projects, with a total value of €12 million, in areas such as IT and business services (BSS), agriculture and agro-processing, automotive components and electronics, HoReCa, logistics and international certification services. These projects also demonstrate a gradual diversification of investment interest.

As the portfolio of investment opportunities expands, the Republic of Moldova is also developing tools to promote these opportunities and facilitate investors' access to them. Recently, the Invest Moldova Agency launched the Investment Map, bringing together investment opportunities from 35 regions and 15 economic sectors and facilitating access to information about projects, land, infrastructure and direct contacts. The platform complements the tools and services offered by the Invest Moldova Agency, which acts as a single point of contact for investors in the Republic of Moldova, helping turn the opportunities presented, including at Moldova Business Week 2026, into concrete investments.

Moldova Business Week 2026 will bring these opportunities closer to the business community and potential investors through practical discussions, case studies, success stories and direct connections with relevant companies and partners. Over the five days, the programme will include thematic forums, dialogue sessions, B2B meetings and discussions focused on business and investment development.
