Moldova's flagship economic event, Moldova Business Week, returns from 28 September to 2 October 2026. Over five days in Chișinău, representatives of the business community, business associations, and public officials will come together to discuss the country's economic outlook, investment opportunities, export promotion, and connecting Moldovan companies to international markets. The agenda of the 11th edition is built around three strategic pillars: European Economic Integration, Sectoral Investment Profiles and Export of Services. For the business community, these topics directly influence access to international markets, financing opportunities, partnership development, access to capital and international expansion.
Here are five reasons why you should attend Moldova Business Week 2026:
1. Practical discussions on Moldova's economic direction
Moldova Business Week 2026 brings together companies, investors, financial institutions, public authorities and development partners on a single platform to explore Moldova's economic development, strategic priorities and investment opportunities that can be transformed into concrete projects. The agenda will focus on strengthening business competitiveness, diversifying export markets, improving access to finance, attracting foreign investment and enhancing Moldova's role within regional and European value chains. For local businesses, these discussions offer valuable insights into the country's economic priorities, including identifying sectors that can generate new partnerships.
2. European Economic Integration as a competitive advantage for businesses
Moldova's closer integration with the European market brings clearer rules, more predictable standards, broader market access and greater opportunities for exporters and investors. European Economic Integration will also be discussed in the context of the €1.9 billion EU Growth Plan, which provides access to financing, supports new projects and infrastructure modernisation, strengthens economic competitiveness and accelerates Moldova’s connection to European value chains. This takes place in a context in which EU Member States accounted for 67.5% of Moldova’s exports in 2025. In the same year, the Republic of Moldova attracted €409 million in net foreign direct investment (FDI), while the total stock of FDI surpassed the historic milestone of €5.37 billion, reflecting sustained investor interest. At Moldova Business Week 2026, European Economic Integration will be examined from a practical business perspective: how companies can become more competitive, access new markets, accessing capital and integrate into European value chains.
3. Direct access to export markets and international partners
Moldova Business Week 2026 creates opportunities for direct engagement between local companies, investors and international partners. Throughout the five-day programme, participants will take part in thematic forums, B2B meetings and study visits designed to facilitate meaningful business connections. For Moldovan companies, the event facilitates new partnerships and business opportunities in international markets, while international investors gain direct access to companies and sectors with significant growth potential.
The networking experience will be further enhanced through the Cardneto application, allowing participants to schedule meetings in just a few steps, receive personalised recommendations, explore the Moldova Business Week agenda and instantly exchange contact details by scanning QR codes, eliminating the need for paper business cards and reducing the risk of losing valuable contacts. The application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
4. Sectoral Investment Profiles: high-potential sectors take centre stage
Moldova Business Week 2026 will showcase the sectors where Moldova offers strong investment opportunities and long-term partnership potential. The agenda will feature discussions on technology, electronics, agri-food processing, non-residential real estate, light manufacturing, construction materials, infrastructure, financial services, tourism, the wine industry, medical services and pharmaceuticals. These sectors reflect recent investment dynamics. In 2025, the Invest Moldova Agency supported 17 investment projects with a combined value exceeding US$46 million. During the first half of 2026, a further 12 investment projects, worth approximately US$27 million, were initiated by investors from Europe, Asia and North America. These developments demonstrate Moldova can compete more actively for regional investment, particularly in sectors with competitive advantages, export potential and strong prospects for integration into European production and service value chains.
5. Expanding exports of goods and services and strengthening Moldova's position in international markets
Moldova Business Week is a platform for companies seeking to expand internationally and strengthen long-term business partnerships. In 2025, Moldova's exports reached approximately US$7 billion, including US$3.78 billion in goods exports and US$3.22 billion in services exports. Moldovan products and services reached 108 international markets.
A distinctive focus of this year's edition will be the export of services, which accounts for 46% of Moldova's total exports. Discussions will explore practical solutions for companies looking to expand internationally, including identifying high-potential markets, adapting products and services to international market requirements, accessing export support instruments, and building sustainable commercial partnerships. Economic partnerships, European Economic Integration and sectors with strong internationalisation potential will remain at the core of these discussions.
The topics addressed at Moldova Business Week 2026 position the Republic of Moldova as a destination for investment, exports and regional economic partnerships.
