Specifically, the National Road Administration hosted the closing event for the project to establish a Center for Continuous Learning, implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The event was attended by Stefan Popa, Director General of the National Road Administration; Giuseppe Grimaldi, Head of the EBRD's Representative Office in Moldova; Mittal Arshia, a specialist with the EBRD's Department of Gender Equality and Economic Inclusion; Gökhan Dursun, a representative of the Turkish Embassy in Moldova, as well as staff members of the National Road Administration. In his opening remarks, Stefan Popa thanked the international experts and the EBRD for their support in training internal instructors. He noted that investing in the professional development of staff contributes to the agency's ability to respond to current and future challenges. "A highly qualified team means more effective project management and the creation of modern, safe road infrastructure for the citizens of Moldova. We aim to transform the Center for Continuous Learning into a transparent, effective, inclusive, and sustainable mechanism for professional skills development, in line with EU standards and practices," said Stefan Popa. For his part, Giuseppe Grimaldi, Head of the EBRD's Representative Office in Moldova, reaffirmed his support for the activities of the Center for Continuous Learning—an initiative designed to promote the long-term institutional development of the National Road Administration through practical training, the exchange of experience among colleagues, mentoring, working with technical documentation, and the implementation of European standards in the road sector. The project, implemented from March to May 2026, included seven days of training across three priority areas: training of trainers, public procurement in accordance with EU legislation, and infrastructure project management. Participants included representatives from senior management and technical departments, as well as staff from units responsible for public procurement, legal affairs, auditing, monitoring, environmental issues, and project implementation. The next phase will focus on strengthening the Center for Continuous Learning, annual planning, developing internal trainers, and knowledge management, as well as creating practical tools and monitoring the application of acquired knowledge in the workplace. // 28.09.2026 — InfoMarket.
