This module was presented during a meeting of the Advisory Council on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, held under the auspices of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister. Cristina Ceban, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, noted that the launch of the “Consumer Protection” on the edemocratie.gov.md platform represents an important step for both companies and consumers and is the result of joint efforts reflecting a commitment to the development of modern, transparent, and user-oriented digital government services. “We want this platform to strengthen trust between consumers and economic operators, foster a culture of dialogue and cooperation, and facilitate the peaceful resolution of issues arising in commercial relations,” she said. Nicoleta Colomeet, Director of the e-Government Agency, noted that the consumer protection module will simplify interactions between consumers and the business community by offering a simple, digital process for resolving complaints and filing subsequent claims. “It is important to us that this tool be developed in collaboration with those who will use it, and dialogue with SME representatives helps us adapt the platform to the needs of merchants and consumers,” she said. The meeting discussed the platform’s new features designed for this module; the process of interaction between consumers and economic entities, from filing a complaint to its resolution; as well as the procedure for companies to receive, review, and resolve complaints submitted through the platform. Once launched, the module will offer consumers a unique, fast, and transparent way to report issues with purchased goods or services. At the same time, businesses and regulatory authorities will gain access to a unified digital mechanism for receiving, reviewing, and resolving complaints, aimed at reducing bureaucracy and shortening response times to consumer inquiries. //31.07.2026 — InfoMarket.
