More than 110 companies will take part in the international specialized exhibitions Moldconstruct and Moldenergy, which will be held from March 28 to 31 at Moldexpo.

The event will be organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of Moldova. During a press conference on Monday, the head of the ministry, Victor Parlicov, noted that it is no coincidence that these two exhibitions are being held simultaneously. “In the last 2 years, we have made efforts and achieved results in ensuring security, diversifying energy sources, and now we are making a breakthrough in the field of energy markets and liberalization of the energy market - both electricity and gas. This is the basis for the development of both the energy sector and the development of the entire country,” he said, emphasizing that there is great potential for attracting investment in areas that are related to people’s daily lives. He noted such areas as energy efficiency - insulating buildings, changing heating sources, integrating renewable energy sources into energy consumption, energy storage, etc. – all of them apply to other industries, primarily construction. Victor Parlicov noted that more than 50% of heat energy in Moldova is used to heat buildings. “For heating 1 sq. m of buildings, we have so far spent twice as much energy as the EU countries currently spend, while they are developing in this direction and taking measures to increase energy efficiency. And this does not depend on how much energy costs, we use it irrationally, so the priority is to increase the energy efficiency of buildings and structures,” the minister said. All government programs and vision in this area will be presented at the exhibitions, including the Residential Energy Efficiency Fund. Also at the Moldenergy exhibition the latest trends in the field of energy and alternative energy sources, products and services in this area, support and financing programs, initiatives to improve energy efficiency in the transport industry, etc. will be presented. At the Moldconstruct exhibition, modern equipment, tools, construction and finishing materials will be presented, and their use will be demonstrated to visitors. //25.03.2024 – InfoMarket.
