According to the National Bureau of Statistics, taking into account inflation, the average salary increased by 10.3% compared to the last quarter of 2022. As noted, the average monthly salary in the public sector amounted to 11618.5 lei (+17.4% compared to the same period 2022), and in the real sector of the economy – 14024.3 lei (+15.6%). The highest salaries in the fourth quarter of 2023 were received by workers in the ICT sector - an average of 31367 lei (+9.2% compared to the same period in 2022), the financial and insurance industry - 25751.6 lei (+12. 3%), enterprises producing and supplying electricity, gas, water, air conditioning – 19595.8 lei (+20.7%), specialists in the field of scientific and technical activities – 15478.9 lei (+8.2% ), in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 15590.8 lei (+17%), in the health care and social protection system - 15804 lei (+22.9%). The lowest salaries remain in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 8163.4 lei (+10.8%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 8843.6 lei (+14.7%) and in the field of administrative services and auxiliary activities – 9696.8 lei (+14.8%). In other areas of activity, salaries exceed 10 thousand lei. Thus, in the field of real estate operations the average salary was 10406.8 lei (+17.5%), in the education system - 10989 lei (+16.7%), in the field of art, recreation and entertainment - 10005.3 lei (+20.4%), in the field of transport and warehousing services amounted to 11112.5 lei (+11.1%); in construction – 11455.5 lei (+14%); in the field of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles – 11897.2 lei (+17.5%).
