
The Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), within the "EU for SMEs" project, has approved grants from the European Union for a total of 51.36 million lei for 93 companies in 2023.
According to its report, 47 enterprises (51%) are run by women and 46 by men (49%). 65 enterprises (70%) are located in rural areas and 28 in urban areas (30%). ODA-managed entrepreneurship support programs receive financial support from the European Union through 8 million euros grant agreement signed in May 2023 under the "EU for SMEs" project. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable, resilient and favorable economic development of local entrepreneurship and to support the ecological transition in Moldova. It is planned that through the implementation of the "EU for SMEs" project, by 2026, at least 300 enterprises will be assisted in their efforts to create, develop, expand or internationalize their business, of which at least 50% will benefit from new opportunities in sectors with high growth potential, and 80% will cover rural areas. // 19.02.2024 - InfoMarket.
