The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices will hold an auction on February 12 to select beneficiaries of subsidies for the opening of rural pharmacies.
Economic agents or their representatives who have applied for subsidies may participate in the auction. Let us remind you that, a rural pharmacy subsidized by the state is a pharmacy or its branch, located in rural areas with a population of at least 1,000 people, where there is no pharmaceutical support. Any legal entity holding a license for pharmaceutical activity will be entitled to operate in rural areas, receiving state subsidies depending on the monthly sales volume (excluding VAT). Thus, the monthly amount of subsidies will be from 10 thousand (if the sales volume is up to 150 thousand lei per month) to 20 thousand lei (if the sales do not reach 50 thousand lei per month). If the quarterly sales volume exceeds 450 thousand lei, the beneficiary will not be able to receive a subsidy. The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices will determine or select the economic entity that will be granted a subsidy for pharmaceutical activity in rural areas, based on an application submitted by the entity. If several applications are submitted for the same locality, the Agency will hold a downward auction, the winner of which will be the participant who agrees to the biggest reduction of the subsidy amount (the step will amount to 500 lei).
