In October 2022, annual inflation reached 34.6%, the highest level in the last 23 years, and in July 2023 it fell to 10.7%. By May 2023, average food prices had risen by 62% compared to 2020. However, there was deflation in June and July for food. Food prices fell 0.2% in June and 1.2% in July. At the same time, food prices are still 59.4% higher than in 2020.
