Holding the European Political Community summit in Moldova is an important tool for developing economic diplomacy, attracting investments and stimulating the country's economy, - Expert-Grup.
This opinion was expressed by the Program Director of the Independent Analytical Center Expert-Grup Stas Madan, commenting on the organization of the summit of the European Political Community in Moldova from the point of view of economic prospects for the country. “The fact that an event will be held in Moldova with the participation of some of the most influential leaders of states and governments, as well as the fact that it will be in the center of attention of the most authoritative world media, will increase the country’s fame and prestige, and this may open new doors for the Moldovan business,” says Stas Madan. He stressed that the summit will stimulate the flow of foreign tourists and the development of tourism and hospitality. Also hosting such a high-level event promotes Moldova as a safe destination, especially in light of recent precedents when one of the airlines left the Moldovan market, citing security concerns. The summit will become a tool for economic diplomacy, will expand opportunities for promoting and attracting investment. The central location of the event is the winery, and this will create prerequisites for expanding the geography of supplies of the flagship industry of Moldova. The expert also believes that the HoReCa sector, which will serve 1.5-2 thousand guests, will receive immediate economic benefits - this will provide the sector with additional income of 6-10 million lei. Stas Madan stressed that the European Political Community can strengthen the positive image of Moldova, and the authorities must ensure the perfect organization of this event.
