Two residents of Balti FEZ were included in the top 20 best employers of Moldova in 2022.
Interim Chief Administrator of the Balti Free Economic Zone (FEZ), Ion Tornea, reported this, noting that, in particular, this year, two residents of the Balti FEZ entered the top 20 best employers in Moldova: Japanese-German company Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze and German DRÄXLMAIER Group - major global manufacturers for the automotive industry, supplying wiring systems, electrical and electronic components for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Bugatti, Porsche, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, MINI brands, etc. As Ion Tornea mentioned, the resident companies operating in the Balti FEZ not only bring large investments and modern technologies to Moldova, not only ensure export and pay taxes to the local and national budgets, but also create quality jobs, improve the qualification of their employees. "The fact that our residents were included in the top 20 best employers in the country speaks of the confidence their employees have in them, who appreciate the opportunities they provide, the level of wages, and the social support they receive. Thus, the level of qualitative interaction between the companies and their employees is raised, and no doubt other enterprises operating in our country will strive for this level as well", stated the Interim Chief Administrator of the Balti Free Economic Zone. Balti FEZ was created in March 2010. Within 12.5 years of activity 81 residents were registered in the zone, the total volume of investments exceeds $250.2 million. 10206 work places were created with average salary of 9280 MDL. The fund of wages of all residents of Balti FEZ constitutes $58.5 million. The amount of paid taxes is $25 million. The volume of production and purchases from local enterprises is estimated at $25.5 million. The volume of industrial production presently makes 7.96 million lei per year, the total volume of sales – 8.16 million lei per year.
