
Moldova's external public debt in January-March 2022 increased by $35.33 million (+1.41%) to $2 billion 541.44 million as of the end of the month.
The Ministry of Finance reported that in the first 3 months of this year, net external financing had a positive value of $72.64 million, as new loans received in January-March 2022 amounted to $103.34 million and exceeded payments on the principal amount of external debt for this period, which amounted to $30.7 million. At the same time, in the first quarter of 2022 a negative value of fluctuations of the exchange rate of the US dollar against other currencies was registered, which amounted to $37.31 million, and as a result in January-March 2022 the external public debt in US dollar terms increased by $35.33 million (+1.41%) to $2 billion 541.44 million as of March 31, 2022. // 26.04.2022 – InfoMarket
