
The budget of the Support Program for Businesses with High Growth and Internationalization Potential, launched in October 2020, will be supplemented with 50 million lei.
The Organization for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (ODIMM) reports that this was announced by Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu at a meeting of the Program Coordinating Committee. Let us remind that previously the budget of the program for 2022 was approved at the level of 20 million lei. The beneficiaries of the program may receive from 250 thousand to 2 million lei. Applications for financial assistance in the current year will be accepted until May 8. Besides grants, small and medium-sized enterprises may also get information, consulting and financial assistance in form of business vouchers in amount of up to 100 thousand lei. As a reminder, the Program to support businesses with high growth and internationalization potential was launched in October 2020. Financial assistance is provided for purchase of equipment, machinery and installations, registration and use of intellectual property rights, purchase of intellectual property objects, purchase of franchises, licenses for software, raw materials and materials necessary for production, as well as commercial real estate intended for production processes. The beneficiary must cover at least half of the project cost. The grant component of the program is available for SMEs, which have been operating on the market for at least 2 years, show continuous growth (turnover and assets should not exceed 50 million lei, and the number of employees - up to 249), plan to enter new markets or substitute import of goods or services in Moldova.
