As noted in the materials of the Ministry of Finance, in the structure of the inflow of external public loans by type of creditor, the largest share belongs to multilateral creditors. In particular, the largest amounts of loans to Moldova in 2021were transferred by: International Monetary Fund - $233.3 million (44.7% of the total amount), International Development Association (IDA) - $76.4 million (14.6%), European Union - $57.7 million (11.1%), EIB - $55 million (10.5%), Council of Europe Development Bank - $44.4 million (8.5%), EBRD - $38 million (7.3%), International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - $12.8 million (2.5%), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) - $4.3 million (0.8%), Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) - $0.1 million (0.02%). As regards the structure of external credits by directions, of the total amount, $187.6 million (the equivalent of 3 billion 323.7 million lei) was received in 2021 for the realization of projects financed from external sources, or 35.9% of the total amount and $334.4 million (the equivalent of 5 billion 868.1 million lei) for state budget support, or 64.1% of the total inflows of new external credits. // 11.04.2022 - InfoMarket
