The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, stating that in March last year, monthly inflation amounted to 0.96%, annual inflation (over the last 12 months) - 1.49%, while in January-March 2021 - 1.8%. As noted by the NBS, average consumer prices in March 2022, compared with March 2021 (the last 12 months) increased by 22.16% due to a 27.04% increase in food prices, 17.99% for non-food products and 21.35% for services. At the same time, consumer prices in March 2022 rose by an average of 4.06%, compared with the previous month, against a background of rising food prices by 4.62%, non-food products - by 3.67%, as well as higher tariffs for services provided to the population by 3.84%. According to official statistics, in particular, in March 2022, compared to the previous month, prices for the following food products have increased: edible salt - by 42.5%, butter - by 15.1%, cereals - by 14.3%, rice - by 13.1%, margarine and other vegetable fats - by 12.9%, potatoes - by 11.4%, wheat and corn flour - by 11% and 9.2%, respectively, rye flour bread - 7.1%, fresh fruit - 6.2%, vegetable oil - 5.7%, pasta - 5.3%, vegetables - 5%, beer - 4.6%, milk and dairy products - by 4%, tea - by 3.8%, meat, processed meat and canned meat - by 3.4% (including poultry - 6%, beef - 3%, pork - 1.5%), fish and canned fish - by 3.4%, natural, ground and instant coffee - 3% and 2.1%, respectively, bread made of wheat flour - by 2.7%, cigarettes - by 2.4%. At the same time, during the same period, prices for chicken eggs decreased - by 5.3%. As far as non-food products, in March 2022, compared with the previous month, the following products raised in prices the most: LNG by 18.2%, fuel by 14.9%, coal by 10.7%, biomass briquettes and pellets by 9.8%, home maintenance and repair materials by 6.6%, firewood by 5.6%, parts and supplies for personal vehicles by 3.7%, furniture by 3.3%, small tools and miscellaneous supplies by 2.8%, household textiles by 2.6%, large appliances, electric and non-electric by 2.4%.
