This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance, PAS MP Radu Marian. He recalled that, as announced by the Ministry of Economy, business entities (non-residential consumers) with increased gas consumption in the production process will receive compensation for the period from January to March. Compensation will be 100% of the difference due to the increase in regulated prices for the supply of natural gas, but not more than 1.5 million lei per consumer. The reimbursed amount will exclude the reimbursement for the first 500 cubic meters consumed per month, for which the reimbursement was made directly on the invoice in accordance with the order of February 1 of the Commission for Emergency Situations. Compensation will be offered to non-residential consumers who purchase of natural gas from suppliers and whose payments for natural gas (excluding VAT) consumed monthly are at least 5% of that month's sales. Compensation can be received by economic agents in the following areas: growing vegetables and melons, root crops and tubers; bird breeding; processing and preservation of fruits and vegetables; production of dairy products and cheese; production of flour products, starch and starch products; baking bread; production of fresh cakes and pastries; production of pasta, noodles, couscous and other similar flour products; production of animal feed; production of carpets and rugs; production of clothing, except for fur products; production of knitted clothes; tanning and dressing of leather; production of road and leather products; fur preparation and dyeing; footwear production; production of glass and products from it; production of building materials from clay.
