The IMF mission led by Ruben Atoyan will hold discussions with the Moldovan authorities from April 4 to 8 on a possible increase in funding.
This was announced by Rodgers Chawani, the permanent representative of the International Monetary Fund in Moldova. He said the IMF mission is to discuss possibilities of increasing the amount of funding through the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and reviewing the timeline for tranches transfers, in order to support the authorities' efforts to attract resources to meet the urgent financing needs caused by the multiple crises faced by Moldova. It should be noted that the IMF 40-month program with Moldova, approved on December 21, 2021, provides for a total financial assistance of about $558.3 million, of which $79.8 million has already been transferred. // 01.04.2022 - InfoMarket
