Moldovan companies and citizens are welcome to take part in the Council of Europe Development Bank's annual Social Cohesion Award-2022.
According to the Ministry of Finance, this award is granted for outstanding social activity in Europe and contribution to the development of social cohesion. The prize fund of the Social Cohesion Award-2022 is 25 thousand euros, which will be awarded to a project that contributes to solving pressing social problems. Both small organizations and individuals over 18 years of age from 42 CEB member countries are allowed to participate in the competition. Their contribution to social cohesion will be judged in terms of impact, sustainability and innovation. Application deadline is April 20th. The expert commission will consider and evaluate all applications that are suitable for the terms of the competition. The five most promising projects will be shortlisted for the competition and judged by an independent jury, with the winner announced in early July. The Social Cohesion Award is being held for the third year in a row, and last year, for the first time, a social bakery from the Moldovan village of Razeni became the winner. According to CEB, last year projects from 27 countries were nominated for the competition, which proved that the idea of promoting social cohesion resonates throughout Europe, and that the social economy and entrepreneurship are strong catalysts for social innovation.
