The EBRD has launched a legal and business guide for small and medium-sized businesses - www.ghidulafacerii.ebrd.md.
Launched the day before, the platform offers specialized advice for businessmen, managers, lawyers and other employees of small and medium enterprises in six areas: business strategy development, human resource management, effective business management, business digitization, financial management and business restructuring. For example, the management section provides general information about finance, provides guidance on cash and debt management, with analysis and specific examples. Recommendations are also given for some difficult situations. The website was developed by the EBRD in collaboration with the UK Government Good Governance Fund. Similar business guides have been created for SMEs in Ukraine and Georgia. The EBRD team created the platform in close cooperation with the Secretariat of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister and the Organization of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova, while the main content for the Moldovan platform was developed by the legal company Gladei and Partners and the consulting company BDC Creative. British Ambassador to Moldova Steven Fisher noted that SMEs form about 30% of Moldova's GDP, the share of small and medium-sized enterprises in Moldova accounts for 98% of all enterprises in the country, and this sector provides more than 330 thousand jobs in the country. “The UK government is pleased to support this excellent initiative that will help these companies survive and thrive, protecting the jobs and livelihoods of many thousands of Moldovans,” the diplomat said. At the same time, the head of the EBRD office in Moldova Angela Sax stressed that the new initiative is another confirmation of the continued support for the development of Moldovan SMEs through funding, advice and technical assistance. Access to the www.ghidulafacerii.ebrd.md platform is free, anyone can use it, no registration is required. // 10.09.2021 — InfoMarket.
