For 8 months of 2021 the Customs Service transferred 17.4 billion lei to the state budget, which is 26% more than in the same period last year.
As reported by the press service of the department, just in August, the amount of deductions amounted to 2.5 billion lei, which is 27.3% more than in August last year and 26.8% more than in August 2019. In August, the Customs Service recorded 354.6 thousand crossings of the state border, which is 20% more than in the same period last year. The most demanded checkpoints were customs points in Leuseni (96.8 thousand crossings) and in Sculeni (58 thousand). CS specialists processed over 51.3 thousand customs declarations and registered 978 cases of customs legislation. The most common violation is exceeding the period of stay of vehicles with foreign numbers on the territory of Moldova. The Customs Service recalled that such vehicles, declared by the action in the regime of temporary admission to the country, cannot stay on the territory of the country for more than 80 days within 12 consecutive months. // 02.09.2021 — InfoMarket
