The corresponding announcement was published by the competition committee for the selection of a candidate for this position, formed by the decision of the BVM on May 12. The new president of the BVM will be elected for a 3-year term; his candidacy must be approved by the National Commission on the Financial Market (NCFM). The candidate for this position must have a higher education and professional experience in the economic, financial and banking fields or in the capital market for at least 5 years; possess a qualification certificate issued by the NCFM, have a good reputation, qualifications and professional experience (managerial - at least 3 years). The candidate must not have any effective penalties imposed by the NCFM, NBM or a similar foreign body that would prohibit a person or suspend his or her right to operate in the capital market or in the banking sector; not have a criminal record and not be a former administrator of a company that was in the process of judicial reorganization or in the process of insolvency, or whose license was suspended / revoked; have no equity participation and not be a member of the management of other participants in the capital market; must not hold a public office.
