Inflation in Moldova was 0.16% in November 2020, in general since the beginning of the year - 0.07%, and the annual inflation (over the last 12 months) in November 2020 was to 0.93%.

It should be noted that this dynamics of indicators is due to the fact that earlier for 4 months in a row there was registered deflation in the country: in June, July, August and September, average prices decreased compared to the previous month. In November last year, 0.78% inflation was recorded in Moldova. Inflation in January-November 2019 was 6.62%, while annual inflation in November 2019 was 7.14%. As noted by the NBS, the consumer price index in November 2020, compared to October 2020, increased by an average of 0.16% against the background of an increase in prices for food products - by 0.7% and for non-food products - by 0.23%. At the same time, tariffs for services provided to the population decreased by 0.75%. According to official statistics, in particular, in November 2020, compared to the previous month, prices for the following food products increased: eggplants - by 43.4%, tomatoes - by 30.6%, fresh grapes - by 22.5% , cucumbers - by 18.5%, chicken eggs - by 17.6%, bell peppers - by 13.2%, stone fruit - by 5.2%, sunflower oil - by 3.7%, honey - by 0.9%, lamb - by 0.8%, rice - by 0.7%, milk and dairy products - by 0.6% (in particular: cottage cheese has risen in price - by 0.9%, sour cream - by 0.7% , whole milk - 0.4%). Prices for cereals and rye bread increased by 0.4%, wheat flour bread - by 0.3%, beef, smoked meats, pasta, sweets - 0.2% in each case. At the same time, in the reporting period, prices for cabbage decreased by 11.2%, onions - by 7.8%, carrots - by 5.9%, fresh fruits - by 4.3% (in particular: citrus fruits - by 19.5%, exotic fruits - by 7.9%), garlic - by 2.7%, beets - by 1.8%, pork - by 1.1%, mushrooms - by 1%, poultry - by 0.3%. In November, compared to October 2020, prices for non-food products increased by 0.23%. More noticeably (up to 3.2%) prices rose for: winter clothing and footwear, firewood, medicines, cars, detergents, plumbing and hygiene products. At the same time, prices for men's and women's shoes, refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, televisions, electric stoves, power tools, household chemicals, coal decreased slightly - to 2.3%. An analysis of tariffs for services rendered to the population shows that in November 2020, compared to October, tariffs decreased for: gas - by 10.2%, travel services abroad - by 2.1%, air transportation services - by 0.7%, services for the maintenance of children in nurseries and kindergartens - by 0.5%.
