The Parliament of Moldova, without presentation and discussion at a plenary session on Thursday, approved in the first reading the draft fiscal policy, state and other budgets for 2021.

The majority of deputies from Socialist Party of RM, the Sor Party and the For Moldova platform voted for their adoption under the shouts of “Shame” from opposition deputies who blocked the parliamentary rostrum. Taking into account that in such conditions the above-mentioned most important financial and economic documents could not be properly presented by Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Sergiu Puscuta and considered by the deputies, the vice-speaker Vlad Batrincea, chairing the meeting, asked the chairmen of the two profile parliamentary commissions to present their position on these projects, and since both commissions recommended their adoption in the first reading, these laws were put to a vote without discussion and adopted by a majority of the deputies. Subsequently, a scuffle arose between the deputies, who surrounded the central rostrum and tried in every possible way to prevent the further holding of the meeting. PAS deputy Igor Grosu broke the microphone, clashes were noted between the deputies, and as a result, Vlad Batrincea was forced to leave his seat. The sound of the meeting broadcast disappeared, then the video broadcast was also interrupted.// 03.12.2020 — InfoMarket.
