
The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova (ODIMM) approves financial assistance for 180 small and medium-sized enterprises of Moldova in digitizing their business.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, contracts with entrepreneurs were signed within the framework of the Small and Medium Business Digitization Support Instrument program implemented by the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of Moldova (ODIMM). It is reported that 57 companies will receive grants of up to 200 thousand lei each. As previously reported by ODIMM, of these 57 companies - 30% work in the agricultural and agri-food sectors, 20% - in the processing industry, 5% are engaged in professional scientific and technical activities, 9% - in catering and accommodation, 7% work in the field of information and communication technologies, 13% - in other industries (education, medical services, translations, etc.). Of these, 38% of companies are located in Chisinau, 29% - in the northern region of Moldova, 17% - in the central region and 16% - in the southern region and Gagauzia. Also, within the framework of the program, 123 enterprises will receive business vouchers worth 20 thousand lei to access web development services and create social pages. The selection of companies proposed for funding was handled by the Steering Committee of the Small and Medium Business Digitization Support Tool. The program is funded from the state budget and supplemented by funding from the European Union. The Small and Medium Business Digitization Support Tool was launched in June to help develop e-commerce tools in the context of restrictions imposed during the pandemic crisis.
