
The NBM has published a new list of banks that are systemically important, O-SII entities, including, as before, four banks
In particular, according to the document published by the National Bank, based on data as of the end of 2024, Moldova’s systemically important banks that are O-SII entities are: maib, Moldindconbank, OTP Bank, and Victoriabank. At the same time, the National Bank of Moldova has set the following buffer rates for systemically important entities (O-SII buffer) for banks identified as O-SII entities in Moldova: maib - 1.5%, Moldindconbank - 1%, OTP Bank - 0.5%, Victoriabank - 0.5%. The decision was adopted based on analyses and studies conducted by the NBM aimed at identifying banks that are systemically important entities in Moldova and limiting systemic impact. The O-SII buffer rate is reviewed annually. The Executive Committee's decision on the establishment of banks that are O-SII entities in Moldova and on the approval of capital buffer rates for banks shall enter into force on the date of its publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 27.05.2025 — InfoMarket.
