
The NBM announced a competition for the new edition of the “School of Modern Finance” program, supported by the NBR and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies
According to the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), in particular, it will organize, from May 1 to June 4, a competition for the selection of participants in the new edition of the “School of Modern Finance” program, designed for master's and final year undergraduate students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM). The program, launched in 2023 and implemented with the support of the National Bank of Romania in cooperation with the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest, will be expanded this year, both for students of Journalism and Communication Sciences at the State University of Moldova and for economic journalists. “Financial information should be made understandable for everyone, and economists and economic journalists play a key role in conducting these outreach and educational activities. The better they are prepared, the more informed and aware our society will be in making financial decisions for a better future,” emphasized Anca Dragu, Governor of the National Bank of Moldova. The “School of Modern Finance” program includes a series of interactive seminars, meetings with experts and will be held in 2 stages: from July 26 to August 3 - the 4th edition for ASEM students and undergraduates and from September 6 to 14 - the 5th edition for students and undergraduates of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the State University of Moldova and economic journalists. The seminars will take place in Bucharest and will include lectures on various financial topics, professional discussions with personalities from the financial and banking sector in Romania, as well as combining the learning experience with cultural and historical events in Iasi, Brasov, Suceava and Sinaia. A single competition will be organized to select participants for both editions and all those interested in the program are invited to submit applications for participation and relevant information.
