
The Moldovan Banking Association, with the support of the Romanian Banking Institute and the Romanian Banking Association, organized two seminars dedicated to the integration into the single euro payments area
The seminars on the topic "Single Euro Payments Area SEPA and the European regulatory framework in the field of payments" were held on 14 April and 5 May. As noted in the press release of the Moldovan Banking Association, during the seminars, representatives of Moldovan banks had the opportunity to study: SEPA mechanisms - the structure and functioning of the payment system, including the benefits of its use; the legislative framework - the implementation of Directive (EU) 2015/2366 (PSD2) and related provisions for the European payment system; practical aspects - compliance procedures, interaction of systems and measures necessary for effective integration. Participation in the seminars provided Moldovan banks with the opportunity to benefit from Romania's experience in the process of joining SEPA, which contributed to the optimization of internal processes, increased compliance and the use of new opportunities in the European financial area.. // 06.05.2025 — InfoMarket
