Membership in the IAIS will allow the National Bank to benefit from international experience in insurance supervision and expand its supervisory expertise by implementing best practices. IAIS is a non-profit organization of insurance supervisors and regulators that promotes effective and consistent supervision of the insurance industry worldwide. Its mission is to enhance global financial stability and protect the interests of policyholders in accordance with best supervisory standards. By joining the named Association, the National Bank of Moldova expresses its commitment to modernize the financial sector supervision system and to ensure a favorable environment for the insurance sector in Moldova. The NBM will have access to the Association's work program, including conferences, trainings and other activities aimed at improving supervisory standards and effectively solving problems in the insurance industry.
