As follows from the data of the National Bank of Moldova, at the same time, citizens still use cards mainly to withdraw cash, although the trend of dynamic growth in the volume of non-cash payments continues, and the share of such transactions in the total volume is constantly growing. In particular, the volume of cash withdrawn from bank cards issued in Moldova in January-September 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 12.6% - to 65 billion 114.9 million lei, and the volume of non-cash payments on them increased by 34.4% - to 43 billion 823.3 million lei. Herewith, the volume of non-cash payments in the banks’ own network (on-us) increased by 40.1% - from 12 billion 168.3 million to 17 billion 053.3 million lei; in the network of other banks of the Republic of Moldova - increased by 32.8% - from 12 billion 530.1 million to 16 billion 642.1 million lei; abroad - increased by 28.2% - from 7 billion 897.1 million to 10 billion 127.6 million lei.
