
Moldovan banks’ net profit in January-November 2023 amounted to 3 billion 935.6 million lei, up by 384.2 million lei (+10.8%) compared to the same period of 2022.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks of the country gained profit in the first 11 months of this year. At the same time, about 3 billion 429.4 million lei (87.1% of the total net profit) accounted for 4 banks: maib, Moldindconbank, OTP Bank and Victoriabank. Another 506.2 million lei of net profit was earned by the remaining 7 banks. At the same time, for 6 banks that received profit in January-November 2023, profit volumes increased compared to the same period in 2022, and for 5 banks profit volume decreased. As follows from the data presented by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, for 11 months in 2023, the largest net profit was received by: maib - 1 billion 153.24 million lei (in January-November 2022 - 1 billion 070.06 million lei), Moldindconbank - 879.07 million lei (878.48 million lei), OTP Bank - 739.62 million lei (401.513 million) and Victoriabank - 657.49 million lei (617.85 million).
