
The net profit of banks in Moldova in January-October 2023 amounted to 3 billion 652.6 million lei, increasing by 421.7 million lei (+13.1%) compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks in the country received a profit for 10 months of this year. At the same time, about 3 billion 173 million lei (86.9% of the total net profit) fell to the share of 4 banks: Maib, Moldindconbank, OTP Bank and Victoriabank. The remaining 7 banks earned approximately 479.6 million lei in net profit. Herewith, for 5 banks that received profit in January-October 2023, its volumes increased compared to the same period in 2022, and for 6 banks it decreased. As follows from the data presented by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, for 10 months of 2023, the largest net profit was received by: Maib - 1 billion 065.38 million lei (in January-October 2022 - 963.3 million lei), Moldindconbank - 827.26 million lei (871.17 million lei), OTP Bank - 665.77 million lei (301.18 million) and Victoriabank - 614.58 million lei (536.57 million). Next in terms of net profit in January-October 2023 there are: ProCreditBank – 124.52 million lei (in January-October 2022 its profit was equal to 115.08 million lei), FinComBank – 117.28 million lei (97.75 million lei), Eximbank – 79.71 million lei (96.62 million lei), Energbank – 65.91 million lei (92.79 million lei), BCR Chisinau - 57.12 million lei (102.36 million lei), EuroCreditBank - 19.17 million lei (29.97 million) and Comerțbank - 15.87 million lei (24.08 million).// 20.11.2023 — InfoMarket
