According to the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks in the country made profit in the first 6 months of this year. About 2 billion 224.6 million lei, or 86.8% of the total net profit accounted for four banks: maib, OTP Bank, Moldindconbank and Victoriabank. Another 336.3 million lei of net profit was earned by the other seven banks. At the same time, 10 banks that made profits in January-June 2023 showed an increase in their volumes compared to the same period of 2022, while one bank registered a decrease. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, in the first half of 2023, the highest net profit was made by: maib - 641.43 million lei (in January-June 2022 - 514.22 million lei), OTP Bank - 588.95 million lei (79.64 million lei), Moldindconbank - 575.52 million lei (444.93 million lei) and Victoriabank - 418.68 million lei (294.67 million lei).
