USAID, through the MISRA program, is helping the National Bank of Moldova develop its institutional capacity and a new Fintech direction.
As noted in the USAID Moldova message, with the help of the Moldova Institutional and Structural Reform Program (MISRA), implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Bank of Moldova is developing its capabilities in new innovative areas: financial technologies (fintech), supervisory capabilities (suptech ) and regulators (regtech). Thus, thanks to the assistance of MISRA, 6 NBM specialists were trained under the Cambridge University SupTech Innovation Leadership Program. The program aims to develop leadership skills and openness to change and innovation. The duration of the course was 9 weeks and included 6 training modules, as well as integrated interactive training tools - Digital SupTech Diagnostic Tool. The modules included the following topics: data and technical tools used in fintech, regtech and suptech products; concept of Data Stack; new fintech products and business models, consumer protection and market surveillance; payment control; capital markets and digital asset surveillance. The program ended with a practical session that will allow the NBM team to apply the best product management experience to develop an action plan and a change management strategy for the implemented fintech solutions. It is emphasized that USAID helps the financial sector of Moldova in its modernization, optimization and digitalization. // 04.01.2023 — InfoMarket.
