The Cabinet of Ministers approved the corresponding draft resolution prepared by the Ministry of Finance. According to the Law on Certain Measures for the Implementation of the Prima Casă State Program, one of the components of the maximum annual interest rate on loans issued is a maximum margin of up to 3%, which is adjusted annually by the government. The maximum margin for state-guaranteed loans under the Prima Casă program in 2019 and 2020 was up to 2% per annum, in 2021-2022 - 3% in each. The maximum margin is applied by lenders in relation to loans guaranteed by the state on the basis of the state program Prima Casă. It is worth noting that within the framework of the state mortgage program Prima Casă, from the moment of its launch and until the beginning of November, 8081 housing units were purchased. The total amount of loans provided by banks under Prima Casă amounted to 4.42 billion lei, and the total amount of active guarantees - over 2.1 billion lei. According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the total number of beneficiaries of the program, 5546 are young families (68.6%), and 2535 are unmarried young people (31.4%). The average age of loan recipients is 31.5 years, the average area of purchased housing is 60.89 sq. m., and its average cost is 640.51 thousand lei. Of the total number of acquired housing units, 7539 units (93.3% of the total) are located in cities, and 542 - in rural areas (6.7% of the total).
