This was stated by the PKO Bank Polski President Paweł Gruza during a meeting held by Minister of Economy of Moldova Dumitru Alaiba with a Polish delegation headed by the Polish Prime Minister's Plenipotentiary Representative for Reform Support in Moldova Adam Eberhardt. The sides discussed bilateral economic cooperation, as well as development projects in various sectors with Polish support. PKO Bank Polski President Pawel Gruza said that the bank is considering possible investments in the Moldovan banking system. PKO Bank Polski is the biggest bank in Poland, operating through 1145 branches on the territory of Poland with a capital of $103 billion. Poland is an important trade partner of Moldova with a share of 3.5% of the total trade volume. From January to September 2022, the Moldovan-Polish trade turnover totaled $315 million, which is 17% more than the same period in 2021. To date, Moldova and Poland have signed 37 agreements regulating various fields of activity. In our country there are 92 companies with Polish capital, the capital investments amounted to 227.297 million lei.
