
The net profit of Moldovan banks in January-October 2022 amounted to 3 billion 230.9 million lei, an increase of 1 billion 348.7 million lei (+ 71.6%) compared to the same period in 2021.
As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, back in August, the net profit of banks registered since the beginning of the year exceeded the figures for the whole of 2021. According to the National Bank of Moldova, profit for 10 months of this year received all 11 banks. Herewith, more than 2 billion 672.2 million lei (82.7% of the total net profit) fell to the share of 4 banks: maib, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and OTP Bank. Another 7 banks earned approximately 558.7 million lei of net profit. Meanwhile, for all 11 banks that received profit in January-October 2022, its volumes increased compared to the same period in 2021. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank, in particular, for 10 months in 2022, the largest net profit was received by: maib - 963.3 million lei (in January-October 2021 - 578.37 million lei), Moldindconbank - 871.16 million lei (521.85 million), Victoriabank - 536.57 million lei (264.59 million) and OTP Bank - 301.18 million lei (233.97 million).
