At the same time, compared to April of the previous year, it increased by 3.21 percentage points. It should be noted that the historical minimum of the weighted average interest rate on new loans in lei in Moldova is 6.78% per annum (August 2021). As InfoMarket was informed in the National Bank of Moldova, in April 2022, loans were provided to individuals at an average rate of 10.67% (+0.35 percentage points compared to the previous month; +4.86 percentage points compared to April 2021), legal entities - 9.85% (+0.69 p.p. and +1.71 p.p., respectively), and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities - 11.76% (+0 .54 pp and +2.75 pp, respectively). The volume of loans in lei provided to individuals in April 2022 decreased by 13% compared to the previous month, amounting to 897.2 million lei. From the point of view of the purpose of the loans granted, the largest share was made up of consumer loans (66.7%), which were issued at an average rate of 11.72% per annum (+0.38 p.p., compared to the previous month; +6.46 p.p. compared to April 2021). The average interest rate on loans for the purchase of real estate in April 2022 was 8.27% and increased by 0.13 percentage points compared to the previous month, and also increased by 1.69 percentage points compared to April 2021. It should be noted that 88.9% of the total mortgage loans and 99.6% of consumer loans were issued in lei. Loans in the national currency with a maturity of 2 to 5 years were the most popular in the reporting month and were provided at an average interest rate of 10.8% (to legal entities - 9.93%, to individuals - 11.9%, and to individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity - 11.76%). Herewith, the highest average interest rate on loans in the national currency for legal entities was on loans with a maturity of 6 to 12 months - 10.64% per annum, for individuals - for loans for a period of 1-3 months - 14.69% per annum, and for individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities - for loans for a period of 3-6 months - 20% per annum. The lowest average interest rate on loans in lei was the rate on loans for a period of more than 5 years, which for individuals amounted to 8.37% per annum, for legal entities - 8.47%, and for individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities - 11%.// 16.06.2022 — InfoMarket
