Chisinau Airport became one of the most dynamic in Europe in 2025 in the mid-size airport category - the ACI EUROPE

According to the airport's press service, citing a report from the Airports Council International Europe (ACI EUROPE), the airport's passenger traffic grew by 46.8% in 2025. This figure is more than 10 times higher than the European average (+4.4%). According to the report, Moldova is among the leaders in air traffic growth in Europe and ranked first among mid-size airports, becoming one of the continent's most dynamically developing air hubs. The increase in passenger traffic was driven by the expansion of the route network and flight geography, increased flight frequency, active development of the low-cost segment, and growing demand for regional and European mobility. This performance places Chisinau Airport above the regional and European average, outperforming airports in established markets and clearly demonstrating the accelerated development of air connectivity. In 2025, Chisinau Airport provided the greatest connectivity with Germany - 13 destinations (Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Memmingen, Nuremberg, Frankfurt-Hahn, Munich, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Bremen, Cologne, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden), and the largest number of flights from/to Chisinau Airport were to/from Italy (4,825 regular round-trip flights). The most popular destinations in 2025 were Antalya, Istanbul, London, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Bucharest.// 09.02.2026 — InfoMarket
