In 2025, through the ODA 565 companies in Moldova received 139 million lei in compensation to cover their electricity costs
According to the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA), this measure was part of the Compensation Program launched by the Moldovan government with financial support from the European Union. The program was successfully implemented thanks to the support of the Electronic Governance Agency, and entrepreneurs were able to submit applications entirely online, either through the EVO app or the MCabinet platform. Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reported that in 2025, under the Electricity Price Increase Compensation Program, economic entities in the agricultural and food industries received financial assistance to partially cover their electricity costs. Under this mechanism, the total amount of compensation paid to agricultural enterprises amounted to 38,112,234 lei. The compensation paid to economic entities amounted to 50% of the difference in the regulated electricity price excluding VAT.
