In Chisinau were signed 31 out of 87 agreements on financing regional development projects
The signing ceremony at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development was attended by mayors, district heads and representatives of the Regional Development Agencies. These are the first agreements on financing projects selected within the competition. The Ministry noted that the investments financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development are aimed at reducing inequality between regions and improving the quality of life of hundreds of thousands of citizens. The projects will bring significant investments to settlements in all regions of the country and cover the most important areas of people's lives: better and safer roads; water supply and sanitation for more households; modernized schools and kindergartens; street lighting and energy efficiency measures. The remaining contracts will be signed soon so that all 87 projects can be implemented as soon as possible. Recall that the total cost of the projects is about 3 billion lei.
