On August 14, Moldova will launch a national program to provide monthly allowances of 3,000 lei to young workers who are employed for the first time in strategic sectors

Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Doina Nistor, announced this, noting that the program is aimed at young people aged 18 to 35 who have professional qualifications/education obtained in Moldova or abroad and are entering the labor market for the first time on a permanent basis in the following sectors: food, creative, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles and clothing, machinery and auto parts manufacturing, and construction materials, where there is an acute labor shortage. Doina Nistor emphasized that all details will be presented during the launch event of the national program, which will take place at the Cybercor Center of the Technical University of Moldova. There, young people will learn how they can receive monthly allowances of 3,000 lei at their first job in industries of strategic importance to our country. They will also be able to obtain an electronic signature and learn how the program works, which is 100% digital and implemented through the government's EVO app. Earlier it was reported that the amount of the allowance will be reviewed annually, depending on the state budget and the economic situation in the country. To receive the allowance, young people will be able to use the government's EVO app. The allowance will be provided for only 12 months and only to those who have not had a job for the previous 12 months. The allowance will not be taxed, but it will not be paid if the salary offered by the employer does not reach the minimum wage in the country, or if the employee takes parental leave. According to preliminary estimates, around 4,000 young people will benefit from the program by the end of 2025. More than 34 million lei will be allocated for this purpose under the Budget Plus program. // 12.08.2025 — InfoMarket
