Electricity tariffs for Premier Energy and FEE Nord consumers of Moldova have been reduced since August 1

The relevant resolution of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) was published on Friday in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) and entered into force. Thus, the cost of electricity for Premier Energy residential consumers whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage distribution networks (0.4 kW) has been reduced by 12.5% - from 4.1 to 3.59 lei per 1 kW/h, while FEE Nord's tariff has been reduced by 14.6%, from 4.68 to 4 lei per 1 kWh. The decree also includes tariffs for different time intervals. For example, for residential consumers, Premier Energy's daytime tariff (from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) is higher at 3.89 lei per 1 kW/h, while the nighttime tariff is lower at 3.31 lei per 1 kW/h. For residential consumers of FEE Nord, the daytime tariff is set at 4.26 lei per 1 kWh, and the nighttime tariff is 3.76 lei per 1 kWh. Differentiated tariffs depending on time intervals of consumption may be applied at the request of end consumers who have metering devices capable of recording electricity consumption by time intervals. At the same time, starting today, electricity prices for Premier Energy consumers whose electrical installations are connected to high-voltage distribution networks (35, 110 kW) have been reduced from 3.29 to 2.78 lei per 1 kWh, and for medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW) from 3.51 to 2.99 lei per 1 kWh. The new tariff for consumers of Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW), has been reduced from 3.64 to 2.96 lei per 1 kWh. Differentiated tariffs have also been approved for non-household consumers – they are lower at night and higher than the base tariff during the day. The NAER decree also includes tariffs at entry and exit points to/from transmission networks and tariffs for the supply of electricity in emergencies. It is worth noting that the last time electricity tariffs in Moldova changed was in January 2025. At that time, the cost of electricity for residential consumers of Premier Energy, whose installations are connected to low-voltage electricity distribution networks (0.4 kV), was increased 1.8 times – from 2.34 to 4.1 lei per 1 kWh, while for the same residential consumers of FEE Nord, it rose by 64.8%, from 2.84 to 4.68 lei per 1 kWh. Prior to this, tariffs were changed in March 2024, when they were reduced by 2.1% and 1.4%, respectively, and even earlier, in November 2023, when they were reduced by 7% and 10%, respectively. Premier Energy supplies electricity to consumers in central and southern Moldova, while FEE Nord supplies the northern Moldova. // 01.08.2025 — InfoMarket
