About 120 entrepreneurs took part from July 15 to 17 in a training program for startups, organized for the first time by the Ministry of Finance
As reported by the financial department, this initiative is implemented in partnership with the EU-funded project "Moldova is Europe - support for European integration", the State Tax Service, the Customs Service and the State Service and the Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md publication. In her congratulatory message, Finance Minister Victoria Belous stressed the importance of having the necessary information when starting a business and confirmed the support of the authorities, especially the Ministry of Finance and development partners, in this matter. "Behind every business there is a dream, a goal. I encourage you to follow them with confidence. The government wants to be with you - through clear policies, support programs and training that will give you the strength to succeed. We want to live in a country where businesses grow, develop and become a success story here at home," Victoria Belous emphasized. Over the course of 3 days, the participants received practical training on the key topics necessary for starting and managing a business: registering activities with the State Tax Service, the National Social Insurance Fund, the National Health Insurance Company, the National Statistics Bureau and opening a division; public procurement procedures; declaring and reporting on income tax, social contributions and health insurance premiums; tax visits and tax control; VAT and excise taxes; import and export of goods and services; labor legislation, labor protection; local taxes and road tax; taxes on environmental protection and natural resources; accounting and financial management; business communication. The seminars were attended by experienced experts from the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service, practicing accountants and consultants from the private sector, as well as the EU High-Level Advisor on Customs and Tax Policy Rosario de Blasio. The program was launched to provide specific support and clear information to those who want to start their own business or are at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. As noted by the Ministry of Finance, early familiarization with the legal framework and methods of interaction with government agencies is extremely important for preventing mistakes and ensuring sustainable business development. In August and September, training will continue in the same format in the northern and southern regions of the country. // 18.07.2025 — InfoMarket.
