In June, the Moldovan government allocated 156.2 million lei through the National Fund for regional and local development for the implementation of 151 local development projects within the framework of the European Village-2 program.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, these investments make a significant contribution to the modernization of the infrastructure of rural settlements, facilitating citizens' access to such essential services as education, culture, healthcare and utilities. In June, 15 projects were completed that brought specific improvements to thousands of residents from different settlements of the country. These are projects to provide drinking water, install modern street lighting, repair administrative buildings, schools, cultural centers, build sports grounds, modern centers and multifunctional spaces for education, culture, entertainment and recreation. In total, 887 projects were approved for financing within the second edition of the National Program "European Village", of which: 766 projects have signed financing agreements, 49 projects have already been completed, 423 are in the process of implementation, 113 projects are ready to start work, 136 projects are in the process of public procurement. To date, the Government of Moldova has already allocated more than 306 million lei through the Rural Development Fund for completed and ongoing projects from a total budget of about 2.8 billion lei approved for this edition of the program. // 14.07.2025 – InfoMarket.
