Moldova HiTech Park is being created to implement a 30-year project of national importance and will be located in the administrative territory of Stauceni (Chisinau municipality), on a 50-hectare plot of land owned by the state and managed by the Public Property Agency. The Park will be organized as a micro-city with multiple functions, including office buildings, laboratories, research facilities, university campuses, residential areas, conference centers, and infrastructure for testing and prototyping. Moldova HiTech Park is expected to provide more than 21 thousand jobs in technology fields and attract investments estimated at over €200 million. The author of this legislative initiative, PAS MP Victor Spinu, says that the Park is meant to develop an economic and technological platform of national importance, designed to totally change how Moldova does business in areas based on research, innovation, and advanced technologies. According to the document, the project will be implemented in stages, with an initial development period of about five years. To finance the initial costs of creating the infrastructure and operating the park management entity, financial resources will be allocated from Moldova's Economic Growth Plan, developed jointly with the European Union, which provides for up to €200 million for the development of industrial and innovation zones for 2024-2027. // 10.07.2025 – InfoMarket.
